Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter hovering above a crowded California shoreline suddenly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a row of palm groves as spectators observed.
Videos posted on the internet capture the aircraft starting to spin near the shoreline then descending near the perimeter of the beach, where it becomes wedged amidst palm trees and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three people on the road were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were still under review.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.

Authorities said the chopper was linked to an annual “Cars and Copters” charity gathering set for Sunday.
